Walk the Dream is a celebration of small business innovation and entrepreneurialism in the United States. We plan on walking 2011 miles thru 29 States in 100 days. Along the way we will share stories about small business owners who are making a difference; not only in their field but their community as well. We're calling this effort a Walk-U-Mentary© We're not just walking; we're also raising money to help build stronger local business communities.

There are over 29 million small business in the U.S.; collectively they employ over half our work force, contribute over 97% of all U.S. exports and hold over 40%of all U.S. patents. Unfortunately, over 50% of all new business fail within 5 years and 3 out of 10 fail within 2 years. A healthy economy is largely based upon a healthy small business community.

Running a small business is tough; it's even tougher in a difficult economy like ours. Our goal is to raise money to establish volunteer based business support groups in local communities throughout the United States.

These groups; or Seed Funds will provide guidance, mentorship, talent and energy to help launch and support 10 – 15 new business every year. A "community embrace" for business supported by business volunteers who believe in the power of paying it forward.
